Sands here
Hi there
My name is Sandra Griffiths. I attended LHS in Std 8, from 1995 to 1997 when I matriculated. I really enjoyed LHS because that is where I made some life-long friends and I liked my teachers. Especially my history teacher, Mrs Kok. Since leaving school, I never did anything extraordinary until I immigrated to UK. I moved to UK in 2002 and worked in a photo-lab at Boots The Chemist for the past 5 and a half years. I have travelled a lot since living in UK, Including USA and Italy and Ireland. In 2006 , my dream of seeing Barbra Streisand live in concert came true. I went and saw her TWICE in the space of a week in New York. It was an incredible experience. For those who know me, I am sure they know that I was in my element. Last year, Barbra Streisand did an European tour and I ended up going to her Dublin concert as well as all three of her London shows. I met my boyfriend at the Dublin show after we had met on a Barbra Streisand message board. We got on so well that eight months later, I moved from South of UK to the Scottish Borders to live with him. So that is where I am now. I am still looking for a job since I moved to Scotland in January 2008, but I have taken up a writing course which I am enjoying. That's all for now...

Re: Sands here
Howdy, Anton Kossmann's the name, and it seems (impossible as it may sound) teaching's the game! matriculated 1997 too, then spent about 9 years drifting between the UK (especially Scotland) and South Africa. Studied for my BCom in Pretoria, and now i'm living in Poland, in a small city (almost the size of Ladysmith) called Siedlce, about 100km East of Warsaw. I'm an english teacher, mainly teaching pre-FCE and CAE students, and believe it or not, i'm reasonably good at it :-D suprising considering the fact that english was my worst subject at school!
I'm engaged to a Polish lass, named Agnieszka, planning to get married next June, if everything works out. Fingers crossed!!

Natalie here
My name is Natalie Burne (Lombard). I matriculated from Ladysmith High School in 1997. I work in Durban as a Paralegal for my in-laws Legal Firm (Burne & Burne Attorneys). I studied Hotel Management after school but after meeting my husband I have changed fields to Law as we will be taking over the family business when his parents retire. I married my husband Garth Burne on the 28th April 2007 and we have two cats - our children for now (Zorro & Paris). After school I worked at the Royal Hotel in Ladysmith for a year and them moved to Underberg until 2001. I met my husband at Bushman's Nek Hotel where I was working in July 2001 and then moved to Durban in Feb 2002. I haven't travelled much oversea's. I've been to Mauritius on holiday and then went to UK, France & Italy for my Honeymoon in May 2007 which I loved. We are in the process of planning our next holiday to America.
Thats all for now.

Candice
Hi my name is Candice Wilson, I attended LHS from April 1993 and matriculated in 1997. I met alot of great people and I am still in contact with some of them. After I left matric I worked for my parents until June 1999, when we immigrated to the UK. I studied for 2 years for my Diploma in Childcare in Gloucester, across the water from Wales. I returned to SA twice on holidays. I have also been to some countries in Europe as well as USA and Canada. Mostly on holiday.
My family returned to SA at the end of 2005, I stayed on for another 6 months in UK. On returning to SA in 2006, I found what I wanted. I am now attending Embury Institute for Teaching Training to get my BEd in Foundation Phase (gr. 0-3). About time I know. So I am now in my 3rd year and thoroughly enjoying it, but at the same time it took along time for me to get back into studying and everyone is younger then me. I live in Durban and work for my cousin at Essenwood market, its great to meet new people.
